Since the integrity of the existing roof was still intact we could restore the roof with a premium silicone roof coating, even with some current leaks. Here is a quick rundown of the silicone roof restoration process and how it is different from a typical roof replacement. We do not need to have to perform the costly removal of the existing roof. Tear off itself can cost upwards of 5 figures in labor and disposal costs on a roof this size. We start with cleaning the main roof deck with pressure washers. The purpose of this is to make sure our silicone coating has the best surface possible for adhesion. The less dirt and debris the better. Our roofers then apply reinforced “butter grade” silicone to drains and penetrations.
